We have some general information and the answers to some commonly asked questions here! Feel free to reach out to any member of the leadership team for more information.

Program Description

The MSF curriculum provides an intense study in finance, with supporting coursework in accounting. It is a 36-credit hour program beginning the May immediately following admission with a mini-mester (MSF Boot Camp A), followed by 10-15 hours/week of summer homework and a second mini-mester in August (MSF Boot Camp B). The majority of credit hours are completed during the fall and spring semesters of a student’s full-time graduate MSF year. This program is only for Texas A&M undergraduate students.

Prerequisites

Accounting Principles I (one of these)
ACCT 209/229/640* | 3 hours | B or better

Micro (or Macro) Economics (one of these)
ECON 202 (or ECON 203) | 3 hours | B or better

Sophomore vs. Senior Start

SOPHOMORE:

MSF Sophomore Start is the best way to maximize your experience and the benefits of our program. Sophomore Start allows you to take 14 credit hours of MSF courses while you are still an undergrad. This includes 3 hours that you will take in a May Boot Camp and 3 hours that you will take in an August Boot Camp the first summer following admission. MSF Sophomore Start increases the competitiveness of your recruitment and reduces the cost of the Program by up to 10% due to 14 hours of MSF courses taken while an undergrad is included at the undergrad tuition rate.

SENIOR:

MSF Senior Start Program, students will begin their full-time MSF year directly after undergraduate graduation.  While we strongly encourage students to apply and be accepted during their sophomore year, we do have a few spots reserved for senior applicants.  Students are provided extensive resources to ensure a successful launch in their career. Some of these include, but aren’t limited to the exclusive access to the Mays Business School Career Management Center to assist students in preparing for career search, along with networking opportunities within each MSF cohort and elite MSF Advisory Board Companies.
